# My nice apartment

Will be going over to Texas Plano soon, learnt of my nice apartment booked over there makes me high. Haha, here's the website for the apartment they rented for us. Our apartment floor plan is D2, which is the biggest available for renting. Nice place with pool, gym and so many facilities. There's 2 storey high and i think I would be lazing around in the house. It's enough to keep me entertained! Haha

# Leaving on 2 Oct

Just got word today that we will be leaving for Texas this coming 2nd Oct 06. I was kinda glad it wasn't Belgium coz it's more expensive with Euros! Thou some ppl might be disappointed about not having to buy some Belgium Chocolates.

Anyway, it was quite a rush coz it's like less than 10 days to prepare and the fact that the deed signing wasn't done yet with EDB. So that meant it has to be done within the next 10 days, which excludes 4 non working days? Anyway, hopefully all goes on smoothly and we are able to depart on the day. I am not sure if we will get net access there so here's 10 days left to treasure net access...(and pay for the next 3 month of unused net access! + mobile bills) ...

Another stuff I found out today was that our startup fund of $4k was used to buy a stupid *ell notebook which already cost 2k. If given a choice I would never have opted to buy *ell. Sorry Kenny, hahah but I would prefer another brand or something I could choose ( lighter laptop). The rest of the $2k was used on medical coverage and some crappy admin stuff...which I predicted would leave us with around 500 for startup ? Hopefully there's even 500 left. Even 300 would be enough...i need to get more clothes and stuff to survive the weather there.

Well, hopefully I can keep in contact with my frends over there, coz

1. There might not have net access
2. My coy laptop is configured to scan Skype as a virus coz they are somewhat a competitor to us.
3. MSN has also been blacklisted
   
4. Antivirus program on my laptop cannot be uninstalled as the account doesn't come with admin rights ( yesh there are ways to get ard this...but lets not try to be too smart alec and screw with the coy's policy)

Okie...should be the 2nd last post before i fly...maybe there will be another post on my delays or wadever...who knows...it's my company we are talking about.

# My 1st Paycheck

Okie after like years of waiting...i finally got my 1st paycheck. It was only for the month of Aug 06, which meant that it's only half a month's pay. But I am happy enough! Haha , coz soon after...i will be getting my paycheck on 28 sept again! More $$$$!! Feels good to earn some $ on my own. There will be more.....haha

@ In Memorial

5 years have passed since the incident took the world by storm. Sometimes it's really hard to predict what will happen to you the next moment. It makes you think about how fragile life is...how there is no 2nd chance and how important it is to treasure every moment you have. There is no quick save, quick load. No backup storage, nothing for you to restore. Once it happens, it's set and written in the book of history.

Yet humans are forgetful. Reminders only served their purpose for a short period. As days of peace passed, we are slowly taking for granted the tranquility we enjoy. with the life that we lead every day,we wake up thinking it's another day until something extraordinary happens.

The purpose of this post is to remind myself to think of all the possibilities that could have happened to me, and be thankful that I have survived another day with God's blessing. In addition, in memorial of all those who have left their loved ones so suddenly.

# Crappy LOGIc and TECHnology

Just went to Comex 2 times in a row. On Thurs and Friday. Thurs I went with Chris to recee the place and scout out some laser printers which I recommended to my sis ( who din't reply me on the sms...dunno she got the sms not ) anyway went on Friday with my dear to get some DVD+R and a webcam. For those ppl looking for budget laser....Brother and Epson are the more worthy printers to buy based on usage cost in the future.

Then there was this Creative booth tat was giving away free Xen players i think. I tot it was packaged quite ugly (a white cardbox ) and tot it was some kinda cheapo freebie so didn't go and take. Turns out to be a working mp3 player! I guess the guy gives out 1 every 1-2 hr to attract crowd to his presentation. Damn i missed the chance to get 1 and sell!

Anyway bought a Logitech QuickCam Go webcam...it was the suckiest brand I have ever bought. It is incompatiable with my current USB chipset VIA. Oh come on! This chipset was like 4 years ago when I bought my PC. How can recent developement still have such bug that wasn't fixed! Now it keeps rebooting my PC whenever I try to use the webcam. Totally cannot use it in peace.

So....does anyone need a webcam ? I am thinking of selling it. Bought at 35 ...sell at 30 ...2 years warranty! But make sure ur USB chipset is not from VIA. Crappy logic and no technology.
